Judge allows sale to go ahead
Personal possessions of James Brown are set to be auctioned off by Christie's in New York after a judge ruled that the sale could go ahead.
The sale had originally been held up by feuding family members of the late 'Godfather Of Soul' contesting the instructions for his estate, but on Monday (July 15) Judge Jasper Cureton ruled that the sale could go ahead.
The Telegraph reports that some of the 350 items up for sale include a red jumpsuit, circular green sofa and hair curlers once owned by Brown, who died on Christmas Day 2006.
Up to $2 million (£1 million) is expected to be raised by the auction.
