James Franco, Seth Rogen and director Evan Goldberg to live tweet ‘The Interview’ tonight (December 28)

The internet event will begin at 10pm GMT

Seth Rogen and James Franco – stars of controversial film The Interview – and director Evan Goldberg have announced plans to live tweet the film on Twitter tonight (December 28).

Announcing the idea yesterday (December 27), the trio took to the social media site to reveal that the event would be taking place from 10pm GMT, with Rogen describing the plan as “like pop-up video”.

Any further information about the planned live tweet event is yet to be revealed.

The Interview‘s release was originally pulled after Sony Pictures was hacked and terror threats were issued in the event that it were screened as planned, however the film has now received a limited release in US cinemas and online.

The movie, which stars Seth Rogen and James Franco, follows two American journalists recruited to kill Kim Jong-Un, the leader of North Korea.
