Jamie T debuts new material at V Festival

Singer also pays his respects to The Pogues at Chelmsford

Jamie T aired new material from his as yet untitled second album during his early evening set at the Chelmsford leg of the V Festival tonight (August 16).

Taking to the stage in a packed JJB Arena tent, the Wimbledon singer used the opportunity to debut two new tracks from his forthcoming second record, the follow-up to his 2007 debut 'Panic Prevention'.

T declared as he arrived onstage: "We're going to start with a new one, its called 'Bruce'".

The second new song, 'Sticks And Stones', was played mid-set.

Jamie T also found time to pay tribute to the band due to take the stage on the JJB Tent following his appearance, saying: "Is anyone aware of who is on this stage next? I'm honoured to say its The Pogues – a great inspiration. I'll be standing over there on the side of the stage in 15 minutes."

anybody have any comments on the new songs? Normally the live versions are different then what comes out of the studio but both are top notch
