Jamie T will release a new EP, 'Chaka Demus', on August 31.

The troubadour, who recently confirmed that his second album 'Kings & Queens' will be out on September 7, has continued his plans to turn his singles into expanded four-track releases.

"When I finished the album there were still some songs coming along, so that's what I've got the EPs for," he told NME.COM. "I'm hoping to do three or four of them if I can keep myself busy enough. I want to be releasing all year."

The new EP (artwork pictured) features the following new songs:

'Chaka Demus'
'Forget Me Not (The Love I Knew Before I Grew)'
'Planning Spontaneity’'
'When They Are Gone (For Tim)'

'Chaka Demus' is the only track to appear on the album.

"EPs are a wonderful way of doing things," added Jamie T of the format. "They're short, sweet, you can set your own scene and do it. I'm not sure when I'm going to release them all yet, but I've got so many songs I'm excited about that wouldn't fit on the album."

Meanwhile Jamie T is set to hit the road in October.

He plays:

Bristol O2 Academy (October 1)
Southampton Guildhall (2)
Birmingham O2 Academy (3)
Newcastle Northumbria University (5)
Nottingham Rock City (6)
Norwich UEA (7)
Glasgow Barrowlands (9)
Preston University 53 Degrees (10)
Sheffield O2 Academy (11)
Manchester Academy (13)
Leeds O2 Academy (14)
London Brixton O2 Academy (15)
