Jamie T postpones six shows from start of UK tour
Sickness forces Wimbledon troubadour to pull gigs
The singer has pulled six shows after failing to recover from a bout of laryngitis he suffered during the tail end of his recent Australian tour.
His 'Kings & Queens' dates were due to kick off at the Bristol O2 Academy tonight (October 1), taking in further dates in Southampton, (2) Birmingham (3), Newcastle (5), Nottingham (6) and Norwich (7).
These shows have now been postponed, with the tour now set to start next Friday (October 9) at Glasgow Barrowland.
"It is with regret that, after seeking medical advice, Jamie T is to cancel the first six shows of his upcoming 'Kings & Queens' tour," a spokesperson explained. "After suffering from a bout of laryngitis on his recent Australian tour – which culminated in Jamie having to postpone the last two shows – his voice has not sufficiently recovered for him to begin the tour at the Bristol O2 Academy on October 1."
The cancelled shows are set to be rescheduled and all original tickets will still be valid.
The tour dates now line up as:
Glasgow Barrowlands (9)
Preston University 53 Degrees (10)
Sheffield O2 Academy (11)
Manchester Academy (13)
Leeds O2 Academy (14)
London Brixton O2 Academy (15)
