Jamie T has revealed that he is forming a live covers band.
The singer-songwriter, who released second album 'Kings & Queens' earlier this year, has said he's thinking of taking a break from writing.
"Maybe it's time to stop writing for a bit," he told BBC 6Music. "As strange as that sounds sometimes you need to collect your thoughts a bit before writing, so I think a covers band might be fun."
Although expressing the desire to take the project on the road, he also revealed the new band would be unlikely to record any new material.
"I don't think we'll get into the studio," he explained. "I think we're just going to play some shows. I think it's just more for the sake of having fun and going out and playing it. I don't think anyone's got any ideas that big about recording them."
As previously reported Jamie T was forced to postpone his UK tour due to laryngitis, with the shows being rescheduled to take place in January and February 2010.
