Jamie T is reportedly working on his long-awaited third album.

According to a piece posted on Noisey, Jamie T was recording music last month. The information came via an artist called Manou, who was in the same studio complex in December, and posted a picture of the studio schedule which featured Jamie T's name.

Last year, before the band Tribes broke up, their frontman Johnny Lloyd said Jamie T was working on new material. Aside from 2012's joint single 'Wrongful Suspicion' with Tim Armstrong of US punk band, Rancid, Jamie T has been on hiatus since 2010.

"I'm playing with Jamie T at the moment," Lloyd told Topman in 2013, saying that Jamie was then working on the follow-up to 'Kings & Queens'. "He's finishing his new album. I occasionally guest on stuff, but I want to be in control. Jamie's record is great, it's really slow, angry punk. He's a classic character. I know if I walked down Denmark Street now he'd be in the pub."

The last proper release from Jamie T was the single 'Emily's Heart', which was backed with a cover of Bruce Springsteen's 'Atlantic City'. The song was taken from his second album, 'Kings & Queens', which was released in 2009. Jamie T was named Best Solo Artist at the NME Awards in both 2007 and 2010. He released his debut album, 'Panic Prevention', in 2007.
