JAY KAY VOWS TO 'TAKE ACTION' AFTER STREET BRAWL

Jamiroquai
star JAY KAY has branded the man who allegedly left him with a broken and bloodied nose in a street brawl as "an animal" and has vowed to "take action."

Speaking about the fight that happened outside a post-premiere party for 'Star Wars Episode II: Attack of the Clones' at St. Martins' Lane Hotel in central London during the early hours of yesterday morning (May 15), the funkster said: "He's not going to get away with it. I'm going to action I've already given the police a full statement about what happened. I'm furious."

Trouble erupted when Kay left the hotel around 1am to pick up some cigarettes from his car, a brand new Bentley. He got into an argument with some photographers and accused one, Alan Grisbrook, of damaging his car. The Daily Mirror this morning carries photographs of the brawl that followed, including one which they claim shows Jay Kay being headbutted, and several of the star attempting to get to the photographer.

Grisbrook denies butting the star and insists he took some punches and attempted to protect himself.

Police this morning said no charges had yet been brought. A Met spokesperson told NME.COM that though statements had been taken at the scene, they were "still waiting to speak to both parties and interview them fully". Both men allege the other man assaulted them.
