Jane's Addiction cancel Australian tour
Stephen Perkins is hospitalised in Los Angeles
Janes Addiction have been forced to cancel their Australian tour after percussionist Stephen Perkins was admitted to the Infectious Disease Ward at Cedars-Sinai Hospital in Los Angeles for treatment of an infection in his elbow.
Perkins is expected to make a full recovery from the infection, but will be held at the hospital for a few days while anti-biotic treatment continues.
The infection was discovered after Perkins noticed severe swelling and pain building in his elbow.
The band’s Australian tour was due to start on Saturday (July 25).
