Jane's Addiction's Perry Farrell: 'I wanna fuck onstage!' - video

Frontman speaks about his recent trip to London

Jane's Addiction frontman Perry Farrell has said he feels like a "reptile" onstage, adding that he finds it hard to contain himself when he performs with the band.

Speaking to NME.COM in an exclusive video interview, which can be watched below, Farrell explained that his urges onstage came from his groin area.

"The nice thing [about playing gigs] is because it comes from the groin, it initially came from the groin…man, these songs light up each and every time we play them," he said.

He added: "I almost feel like a reptile by the time we get going. I really feel like I wanna eat something with my bare hands or fuck somebody!"

Guitarist Dave Navarro said that the atmosphere at the band's recent gigs – which included a show at the capital's O2 Arena (July 15) and tiny London venue Centro (16) – has given him inspiration.

"We really get off on the electricity between the band members and the audience," he explained in the video.

well O2 was better than the Kerrang idiots said it was-think it was just the cult of NIN couldn't see any further than trent. while NIN played a good set (esp the covers w/ numan), for me it was like a hand job after great sex. jane's can work in a big venue too. missed Centro as it doesn't fit in w/ the baby schedule, but saw them boys in Newcastle Riverside back in 1990 and again in the Mayfair in 91. greatest band of all time. f*cking stoked to see avery there too. that's how it should sound. saw them w/ chaney last time round and while it's technically competent, it's NOTHING like the heaviosity avery and perk can out together.
