Janet Jackson will not play Michael Jackson tribute concert
She will not be joining Christina Aguilera, Leona Lewis, Cee Lo Green and Smokey Robinson at the Cardiff show
Dr Conrad Murray’s trial, which sees him accused of administering a lethal overdose to the late singer, to which he is set to plead not guilty, begins on September 27. The tribute show is set for October 8 at Cardiff's Millennium Stadium.
Janet Jackson has said: “Because of the trial, the timing of this tribute to our brother would be too difficult for me."
Beyonce will be appearing at the Michael Jackson tribute concert in Cardiff in October, but only via a satellite link-up.
According to the event's Facebook page, the singer will perform a cover of Jackson 5 song. It does not state whether the link-up will be live or pre-recorded.
The announcement of the 'Run The World' singer's performance reads:
A unique, never-before-seen performance by Beyonce of one of her favourite Jackson 5 songs will be shown at the concert. A lifelong Michael fan, Beyonce really wanted to be involved in this tribute concert. Due to scheduling issues she can't be there in person, but this performance is not to be missed.
Beyonce has also just announced her first pregnancy. She joins Christina Aguilera, Leona Lewis, JLS, Cee Lo Green, Smokey Robinson and Craig David, who will all be performing in person at the gig.
Kiss have been removed from the event's bill after pressure from fans and the singer's estate.
