James Morrison wins BRIT for British Male Solo Artist

Plus the International Male Solo Artist goes to Justin Timberlake

James Morrison has won the British Male Solo Artist prize at tonight’s (February 14) BRIT Awards in London.

The British Male Solo Artist award was presented by Joss Stone at the Earl’s Court ceremony.

Collecting the prize Morrison dedicated it to "all the singer-songwriters still playing in pubs".

The nominees were:

James Morrison
Jarvis Cocker
Lemar
Paolo Nutini
Thom Yorke


Justin Timberlake took the International Male Solo Artist but due to his tour was unable to attend the ceremony.

The nominees were:

Beck
Bob Dylan
Damien Rice
Jack Johnson
Justin Timberlake
