Songwriter is commissioned by Brighton Festival

Jarvis Cocker is to deliver a lecture on the art of writing lyrics as part of the Brighton Festival.

The songwriter will discuss 'the function of the lyric in popular song' at Brighton Dome Concert Hall on May 23.

In the specially-commissioned lecture, Cocker is set to analyse his own lyrics, as well as those by Pete Doherty, Leonard Cohen, and Amy Winehouse.

HELP! I really want tickets to see the legend that is JC giving a lecture on lyrics in Brighton. The box office has sold out but was hoping there may be someone reading this that has tickets and can't go???Please help!!! Thanks
