Jarvis Cocker to deliver lyrics lecture
Songwriter is commissioned by Brighton Festival

Jarvis Cocker is to deliver a lecture on the art of writing lyrics as part of the Brighton Festival.
The songwriter will discuss 'the function of the lyric in popular song' at Brighton Dome Concert Hall on May 23.
In the specially-commissioned lecture, Cocker is set to analyse his own lyrics, as well as those by Pete Doherty, Leonard Cohen, Hot Chocolate and Amy Winehouse.
