Jarvis Cocker has announced details of a five-date UK tour, set to kick off in his home town of Sheffield on November 25.

The tour has been organised in conjunction with Cocker's record label, Rough Trade, and will feature Rough Trade artists playing support slots at the gigs.

The label has announced that a documentary commemorating its 30-year anniversary, 'Do It Yourself - The Story Of Rough Trade', will be broadcast by the BBC some time in October.

Cocker is working on a new album, the follow-up to his self-titled debut, and is expected to play new songs destined for it at the dates.

Jarvis Cocker will play:

Sheffield Academy (November 25)
London Shepherds Bush Empire (26)
Edinburgh Picture House (28)
Manchester Academy (30)
Birmingham Academy (December 2)
