Rough Trade label chiefs make demo plea
Bosses call for new demos… and promise to listen to them all

Rough Trade label bosses Geoff Travis and Jeanette Lee have made a plea to any aspiring musicians to submit a demo to them at a forthcoming gig.
The pair have organised for a box to be placed at the label's forthcoming 30th anniversary shows and are inviting acts to drop off their demos into them. The gigs are being headlined byJarvis Cocker.
The pair said in a statement that they promise to listen to every demo.
The boxes will be found at the following Jarvis Cocker-headlined shows:
Sheffield Academy (November 25)
London Shepherds Bush Empire (26)
Edinburgh Picture House (28)
Manchester Academy (30)
Birmingham Academy (December 2)
