Former Pulp man takes the controls between Christmas and New Year
Jarvis Cocker is to edit BBC Radio 4's flagship news show the Today Programme this Christmas.
The former Pulp singer will take charge of one edition of the show as part of its annual week of guest editors, traditionally taking place in the last week of December.
Previous guest editors have included Radiohead's Thom Yorke, Blur's Damon Albarn, and Yoko Ono.
Cocker's show will focus on the credit crunch, as well as asking why UK politicians are bland, reports The Guardian.
Other guest editors this year include the novelist Zadie Smith and the head of the Catholic Church in England and Wales, Cardinal Cormac Murphy O'Connor.
