Singer plays tiny show in London

Jay Reatard plays gig in a warehouse

Jay Reatard played an impromptu gig in a south-west London warehouse yesterday (November 26).

Performing in the storage space of their label Matador in Wandsworth, Reatard opened with 'Hammer I Miss' as he stormed through a six-song set in the cramped basement.

In fact the floor space was so tight that not only did the band use the flight cases as seats, but the drummer was reduced to a three piece, toy-like drumkit.

Reatard made use of the numerous cardboard CD boxes taking up most of the room, jotting the set list down on them.

The makeshift gig was been filmed for a video and was the last time Jay Reatard will be appearing in the UK for the next few months.

Jay Reatard played:

'Hammer I Miss'
'I'm Watching U'
'Slowly Fading All Away'
'Trapped Here'
'All Over Again'
'Screaming Hand'
