Jay Z to release his own fragrance in gold brick shaped bottle
Jay-Z will release his own fragrance this month (November 20).

'Gold' – the rappers first venture into the perfume market – will be wrapped in a box that looks like a gold brick, Women's Wear Daily reports.

The scent is described as "the brightness of Sicilian Bergamot and ginger warmed with Cardamom," with ?"masculine vetiver and teak wood mingle[d] with the spice of pink pepper" ?middle tones and a "rich amber and sensual myrrh...smoothed with bourbon vanilla" base.

The fragrance is part of Jay Z's charity Christmas collection with New York department store Barneys, which has been criticised after the store became embroiled in a race row with two black shoppers who claim they were profiled and detained after buying luxury items. Jay Z responded to the comments in a blog, saying he was waiting to hear the facts of the case before pulling out of the charity venture.

'Gold' will be available there from November 20 before being rolled out to other shops, including a Macys window display which will reportedly feature "an image of Jay Z, morphing into gold neck chain". Prices start at around £24.
