Jay-Z has launched his own brand of soda.

The drink is called 40/40 and boasts an 'Arnold Palmer-esque' flavour, writes Consequence of Sound. An Arnold Palmer is a mixture of iced tea and lemonade and is named after an American golfer.

40/40 is named after Jay Z's 40/40 Club in New York. The target market for the new drink is "sports-loving males". Jay Z already works with cognac brand D'Ussé.

The rapper recently recorded a verse for the remix of X Ambassadors and Jamie N Commons' 'Jungle'. The remix of 'Jungle' features on the Beats By Dre advertising campaign for the World Cup and sees Jay Z rapping about "sipping champagne from the world cup", while referencing current controversies in Brazil, "especially when your own country treats you like an infidel."

X Ambassadors come from New York and have previously worked with likes of Imagine Dragons and Eminem, featuring on his track 'Wicked Ways'. Jamie N Commons, a British artist who released the 'Rumble and Sway' EP last year, has also worked with Eminem and appeared on a track titled 'Desperation' on his most recent album.

Meanwhile, Jay Z and Beyoncé recently announced the first European dates for their joint 'On The Run' tour. The tour is set to take place in the US this summer. Two nights at the Stade de France in Paris are the only confirmed dates thus far, with the couple set to perform on September 12 and 13.
