Jay-Z has made light of his altercation with his sister-in-law Solange Knowles during his appearance at the BET Awards at Los Angeles' Nokia Theatre yesterday (June 29).

The rapper made a brief appearance before Beyonce sang her track 'Partition' at the ceremony. Referring to TMZ, the website that first published footage of his argument with Solange, Jay Z rapped: "Left the curtains open for the paparazzi, a little TMI for you, TMZ." The ceremony will be shown in the UK on BET at 9pm tomorrow (July 1).

In May, footage appeared of Solange appearing to attack Jay Z in an elevator at New York's Standard Hotel while Beyonce looked on. Since the incident, the three musicians have published a joint statement in which they said they have "moved forward as a united family".

Jay Z and Beyonce are currently on a joint tour entitled 'On The Run', which finishes in Paris on September 13. Over the weekend, the couple released rehearsal footage of the tour, which featured their two-year-old daughter Blue Ivy applauding the show.
