President of the United States, Barack Obama, has said that he prefers Jay-Z to Kanye West, adding that he still thinks West is a 'jackass'.

Speaking in The Atlantic, Obama answered 'Jay-Z' when asked which member of The Throne he prefers. He explained:

Although I like Kanye. He's a Chicago guy. Smart. He's very talented... He is a jackass, but he's talented.

Obama first called West a jackass when he famously interrupted Taylor Swift's acceptance speech at the MTV Video Music Awards in 2009.

Earlier this year Barack Obama sang with blues legend BB King at an event at The White House. The impromptu performance followed Obama's rendition of Al Green's soul classic 'Let's Stay Together' at a fundraiser in New York in January.

Noah And The Whale, Arcade Fire and Florence And The Machine are amongst the artists that have made it on to US President Barack Obama's Spotify playlist. The official playlist for Obama's 2012 presidential campaign "features picks by the campaign staff - including a few of President Obama's favorites."

The playlist also includes recent Bruce Springsteen single 'We Take Care Of Our Own', as well as 'Let's Stay Together'. Wilco, No Doubt, and Aretha Franklin's version of The Band's 'The Weight' also appear on the playlist, as do REO Speedwagon, ELO, James Taylor and U2.
