Rap king JAY-Z won a new fan yesterday (May 7) when he caught up with PRINCE CHARLES ahead of the PRINCE'S TRUST URBAN MUSIC FESTIVAL in LONDON this weekend.

Jay-Z, his squeeze Beyonce, Jamelia, Dizzee Rascal, Alicia Keys and Amy Winehouse are amongst the acts taking part at the event – set to attract 40,000 people in aid of a children’s charity.

Prince Charles admitted he was not too familiar with the urban scene but he "liked some of the music", and added "I'm getting past my sell-by date."

Jigga described Charles as "cool, very cool."

The Prince's Trust was founded by Prince Charles in 1976 with the aim of helping young people fulfil their potential.

Jay-Z releases his final ever single, the Rick Rubin produced '99 Problems', on Monday (May 10).
