Jay-Z's comeback album goes to Number One Jay-Z Tickets

He beats Beatles and 'American Idol' to top of US charts

Jay–Z has hit Number One on the Billboard album chart with his comeback album ’Kingdom Come’.

The follow up to 2003’s ’The Black Album’ sold 680,000 copies copies - his biggest first week sales ever. It was also his ninth Number One on the chart.

’Kingdom Come’ beat the debut album from 'American Idol' winner Chris Daughtry’s band Daughtry, which entered at Number Two, and The Beatles' ’LOVE’ album, which entered at Number Four.

Also on the chart, Snoop Dogg entered at Number Five with ’The Blue Carpet Treatment’. U2’s ’U2:18Singles’ which debuted at Number 12, while Oasis’s ’Stop The Clocks’ entered at Number 89.
