His contract ends but he denies he is leaving

Jay-Z have denied rumours that he is to leave his label Def Jam.

There have been numerous reports that the superstar DJ was quitting to join Columbia Records.

However he has now denied that this was the state of play, though he admitted he could see how the rumours started.

He said: "My three-year contract is up soon… I guess Rick Rubin is (there) (Columbia Records) and we've got a relationship.

“But I haven't talked to Rick since he started at Columbia. I called him to say congratulations. But I've learned to leave the possibility open. Sometimes rumours spark real things."

The rapper told Billboard that he was also not currently planning to making a new album following last year’s 'comeback' record ’Kingdom Come’.
