Jay-Z to headline reopening of Hollywood Palladium

He'll reinterpret Frank Sinatra's first performance at LA landmark

Jay-Z is set to headline the grand reopening of the Hollywood Palladium in Los Angeles this autumn.

The controversial Glastonbury headliner will perform on October 15 with a 12-piece backing band, reminiscent of Frank Sinatra's opening performance at the iconic venue nearly 70 years ago.

The Hollywood Palladium first opened its doors in 1940 and since then has seen performances from the likes of The Rolling Stones, Led Zeppelin, The Clash and The Who.

Morrissey closed down the concert hall for major renovations with a string of performances last October, as previously reported.

Tickets for Jay-Z's performance go on sale September 5 at 10:00am PST via Livenation.com.
