Jay-Z has topped the 'Power 30' list put out by influential hip-hop magazine The Source.
Although he hasn't released a new studio album since 2007, the rap star topped the list due to his business ventures with Live Nation and Rocawear, and his part-ownership of the New Jersey Nets basketball team, reports the Associated Press.
Also featured on the list were P Diddy, 50 Cent, Snoop Dogg, Will.I.Am and Lil Wayne.
President Barack Obama got an honourable mention for his influence on the new hip-hop generation.
