Jay-Z has broken his Twitter hiatus for a fan Q&A today (July 8).

The rapper, who last month claimed he had reached his "yearly allotment" of Tweets and promised not to resume tweeting until at least 2014, has broken his silence to answer a wide range of questions posed by fans, including what his favourite cereal is and his thoughts on new album 'Magna Carta Holy Grail', which was pre-released on July 4 via a special app for Samsung Galaxy users.

Meanwhile, Jay-Z's 'Magna Carta Holy Grail' app has been cloned by computer hackers to display anti-government messages.

The rapper's 12th album was pre-released on July 4 via a special app for Samsung Galaxy users. However, hackers managed to clone the Android app and insert messages criticising the Obama administration. The attack is believed to be part of ongoing protests against US government mass surveillance programmes revealed last month after Edward Snowden leaked details to the press.

According to the BBC, the cloned app's wallpaper features a picture of President Obama wearing headphones. Above his image are the words "Yes we scan" - believed to be a reference to the clandestine electronic surveillance program operated by the US National Security Agency (NSA) since 2007. It is also plays on the slogan that President Obama campaigned under "Yes, we can."

'Magna Carta Holy Grail' is currently streaming unofficially online and is also available to Samsung mobile phone users as part of a deal with Jay-Z. Click here to read NME's Louis Pattison's reaction to the first listen of the album.
