Jay-Z was joined on stage by Justin Timberlake as he performed songs from his new album 'Magna Carta Holy Grail' for the first time in London last night (July 13) as part of day two of Wireless Festival.

The rapper headlined the second day of the three-day event, having made a guest appearance during Timberlake's set the previous night. Timberlake returned the favour, appearing to provide vocals on new song 'Holy Grail'. The track, which uses lyrics from Nirvana's 'Smells Like Teen Spirit', was the closing song of a two-hour set which included selections from across Jay-Z's 20-year career.

Dressed in a plain white shirt with a huge gold chain, Jay-Z came on stage at east London's Olympic Park following performances by Miguel, Kendrick Lamar, Rita Ora and Emeli Sande. Opening his set with 'Public Service Announcement (Interlude)', the New Yorker then played 'Heart Of A City (Ain't No Love)' and 'Empire State Of Mind'.

Thanking fans for turning out, Jay-Z said: "You could have been anywhere else in the world tonight and you chose here, we appreciate that," before talking about his new album, the initials of which were projected onto screens either side of the stage.

"Number One in 59 countries and most importantly, my first in England," he said, in response to the success of 'Magna Carta Holy Grail' in the UK. A number of new songs made it into the setlist, including the warmly-received 'Tom Ford', 'Picasso Baby' and 'Somewhere In America'.

Backed by his house band, Jay-Z also played hits from across his career including '99 Problems', 'Big Pimpin', 'Dirt Off Your Shoulder and 'Izzo (H.O.V.A.)'. A section of the set was dedicated to Jay-Z's numerous guest spots with his verse from Kanye West's GOOD Music track 'Clique' getting an airing alongside ''03 Bonnie & Clyde' and 'Crazy In Love' by Beyonce.

Jay-Z will return to Wireless tonight (July 14) to headline the third and final night of the festival alongside Justin Timberlake as part of their 'Legends Of The Summer' world tour.
