Jennifer Lopez is to produce and co-star in a film based on salsa dancer HECTOR LAVOE.
Lavoe, who spent in childhood in Puerto Rico and was renowned for his dance improvisation, died in 1993. According to the Reuters news service, Jennifer Lopez will play the role of the dancer's wife Nilda Roman Perez.
Production on the film will commence later this year, with Marc Anthony set to play the role of Lavoe.
