Jennifer Lopez to produce TV comedy drama
It's a remake of her movie 'Maid in Manhattan'
Jennifer Lopez is set to add TV producer to her resume, with the news that she will executive produce a remake of her 2002 movie ‘Maid in Manhattan’.
The series is being developed by the ABC network and a pilot has already been green-lit.
"The show is a different maid in a different Manhattan," pilot-writer Chad Hodge told the Hollywood Reporter.
While the movie focused on the relationship between Lopez’ character and a handsome, wealthy man played by Ralph Fiennes, the TV show will concentrate on her relationships with co-workers at an upscale Manhattan hotel.
Hodge says Lopez has contributed “a fountain of ideas” to the pilot and series.
