Rilo Kiley woman releases second solo disc

Rilo Kiley frontwoman Jenny Lewis has announced details of her new solo album ‘Acid Tongue’, set to be released in September.

The record, which is the second solo album from Lewis, is the follow-up to 2006’s ‘Rabbit Fur Coat’ and features collaborations with Johnathan Rice, Farmer Dave Scher, Jason Boesel, Jason Lader and M Ward.

The album also features a duet with Elvis Costello, as well as contributions from Chris Robinson of The Black Crowes and actress/singer Zooey Deschanel of She And Him.

Lewis also enlisted the services of her sister Leslie Lewis who sang backing vocals on two songs as well as her father Eddie Gorgan, who played bass harp.

‘Acid Tongue’ was recorded at Sound City Studios in Van Nuys, CA over just three weeks and the release will be supported by a tour.
