Jenny Lewis, Spoon kick off the first annual Wanderlust Festival
Yoga and music merge in the California mountains
The first annual Wanderlust Festival kicks off in Lake Tahoe, California this weekend (July 24-26), with music lovers and yoga practitioners coming together for the first indie-rock and yoga festival of its kind.
Spoon, Jenny Lewis, Girl Talk and Broken Social Scene are among the artists set to headline the three-day festival, which is taking place in the Squaw Village ski resort in Olympic Valley.
Festival-goers ride cable cars from the valley up the face of the mountain to catch performances on stages set high up above. Also set to play this weekend are Andrew Bird, Gillian Welch, Sharon Jones & the Dap Kings, Rogue Wave, Amanda Palmer and Mates of State. Performances are preceded by yoga classes taught by renowned instructors from throughout the world.
Stay tuned to NME.COM for festival updates throughout the weekend.
