Jessie J has cancelled tomorrow's show at Alnwick Castle in Northumberland.

The gig, which was set for July 21, has been pulled because of an 'unexpected illness'. The pop singer went for blood tests earlier today and was found to be suffering from CMV, a virus which is causing her 'considerable fatigue'. Doctors have advised the singer to rest.

The concert has been rescheduled for August 25. All existing tickets are valid for the new show, but refunds will also be made available at the point of purchase if fans are no longer available to attend.

A statement from promoters KAL Music Limited reads: "On behalf of KAL Music Limited we would like to extend an apology to all concert ticket holders for any inconvenience caused. We are hugely disappointed to have to postpone Saturday's performance but are pleased to have already confirmed an alternative date for the concert to go ahead. We hope that all ticket holders will be able to attend what is sure to be an incredible event. We wish Jessie J a speedy recovery."

Jessie J was recently added to the line-up for London's iTunes Festival. She will headline the Roundhouse on September 21 and joins the likes of Jack White, Usher, Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds and One Direction in being confirmed for the festival.

Jessie J, who is currently working on material for her second studio album, will be supported at the show by Lonsdale Boys Club.
