Jessie J has confirmed that she will not take part in the next series of BBC talent show The Voice.

The pop singer was one of four coaches on the TV show, alongside Tom Jones, will.i.am and Danny O'Donoghue of The Script.

"I've absolutely loved my time on The Voice, and I hope everyone saw and knows how passionately I felt about the show," she told BBC News. "I can't wait to promote my new record around the world and that has to take priority. I shall be keeping a very close eye on series three, showing my support in every way I can, and really hope that in some way that I can be part of the show."

The Voice 2013 was won by partially-sighted 27-year-old Andrea Begley, who emerged victorious over Mike Ward, Leah McFall and Matt Henry in the June 22 final, earning a "lucrative" recording contract as her prize.

Leah McFall had been the bookies favourite to win the BBC One show, but Begley's performances of Evanescence's 'My Immortal', 'Angel' by Sarah McLachlan and 'Hall Of Fame' – where she was joined by her mentor Danny O'Donoghue's band The Script – helped her pick up the most public votes to win the competition.

It is not yet known if The Voice's other coaches will return to the show next year.
