Jessie Ware has revealed that her collaboration with Ed Sheeran "elevated" her as a singer.

London-based singer Ware worked with Sheeran on 'Say You Love Me', which features on her forthcoming album 'Tough Love'. The album, which is Ware's second following 2012 release 'Devotion', will be released in October.

Speaking to the Daily Star about working with chart-topping star Sheeran, Ware said: "We wrote a song together and he's playing guitar on it. The way Ed writes and his work ethic is incredible. I have to give him so much credit for being able to write something that's so right for me and elevates the way I sing - he really pushed me hard."

"It was such a pleasure to work with him because he is ridiculously talented. I feel lucky that I got a glimpse of him in the flesh writing a song. I have nothing but love and admiration. He's prolific and will be around forever," she added.

As previously revealed, Ware has worked on her new album with Japanese production duo BenZel, Benny Blanco, James Ford and Miguel as well as Drake producer Nineteen85. 'Devotion' collaborators Dave Okumu, Kid Harpoon and Julio Bashmore were also involved.

The recently revealed 'Share It All', co-written by Romy Madeley-Croft of The xx, will feature on the deluxe edition of the album.

Jessie Ware recently announced details of a pair of UK shows for October, which will both take place in churches and coincide with the release of 'Tough Love'.

Ware will play at St John at Hackney Church on October 2, followed by Manchester Cathedral on October 3. They are currently Ware's only UK headline shows as part of a nine-date run of concerts this autumn in Europe and North America.

'Tough Love' tracklisting:

'Tough Love'
'You & I (Forever)'
'Cruel'
'Say You Love Me'
'Sweetest Song'
'Kind of…Sometimes…Maybe'
'Want Your Feeling'
'Pieces'
'Keep on Lying'
'Champagne Kisses'
