Jet send update about new album sessions

New video captures Aussie band in the studio

Jet have given fans a video update on the progress for their third album.

The video, which you can see on Myspace.com/jet features interviews with all four members of the band, who are currently holed up in Brooklyn's Atlantic Sound studio recording the follow-up to 2006's 'Shine On'.

According to the video, the band are hard at work on their new album. Nic Cester revealed that they have been writing material both individually and as a group, while drummer and brother Chris Cester joked: "We've gotta stop writing…we've got too many fucking songs."

There is currently no planned release date or title for the album.

how original. jet is amazing man. how could you say they all sound the same? are you retarded? obviously you've never heard their records and are commenting on the singles? even then, are you gonna be my girl, money mouth...hardly alike. the albums themselves are far more varied than anything like, say, bloc party, or ting tings...or ANYONE for that matter. you're fucking boring mate. stop reading, start listening.

Alot of songs doesn't mean there's gonna be a decent album in there. The Kooks had alot of songs for Konk, and that turned out GREAT pause not.

true...a lot of songs doesn't mean a great record. however...i thought their second one was much more interesting and original than their first, it just had slower stuff on it. hopefully they bring the noise on this next one...rock 'n' roll right now is like reading a novel
