Nicolas Cage, Gary Numan and Slipknot's Corey Taylor have paid tribute to Jimi Hendrix in a new video interview about the guitarist.
They are among a number of musicians and actors who have spoken to NME about Hendrix's legacy in a video you can watch on the right of your screen now.
Asked why he thinks Hendrix became such an important figure in music, Cage said: "Because he was original, he was committed to his sound, he stuck to it, he never compromised. He was completely devoted to that wall of sound that he generated and sadly he died at a very young age. But that tends to happen with highly inspired artists who are very sensitive."
