JODECI STAR DENIES SEX ALLEGATION

Former JODECI lead singer K-CI HAILEY has dismissed allegations that he indecently exposed himself during a live concert performance.

Speaking at last week's Soul Train Awards, Hailey, who reportedly "went missing" following the incident on December 16 at Los Angeles Shrine Theater, batted away claims that he's a "sexual deviant".

"If y'all know K-Ci, y'all know K-Ci didn't do it," he told reporters. "I wouldn't do nothing vulgar like that in front of kids, because I have children myself - an eight-year-old and a two-year-old. I would not allow my child to see anything like that."

As previously reported on NMESOUL.COM, organisers of the family-oriented KIIS-FM apologised to those in attendance, after Hailey left the stage on a bill that also included Christina Aguilera and Macy Gray.

It has emerged that although the criminal complaint levelled against the singer by the parents of one child at the concert, the Garcia family, who are also seeking unspecified damages and psychological counselling, was submitted last year, no court date has yet been fixed.

In related news, K-Ci also spoke about the much talked about Jodeci reunion album. "We will be finished by, I'll say, August and the album will be out by New Year and the tour will be the summer after that."
