Joe Lean And The Jing Jang Jong play V Festival warm-up
Joe Lean and the Jing Jang Jong made their live London comeback last night (August 20) - playing a V Festival warm-up show at the Barfly in Camden.

The band have recently completed re-recording their debut album, after cancelling the release of their first effort weeks before its scheduled release date in July last year.

The five-piece took to the stage at 10pm (BST), playing instrumental opener 'Tough Terrible'. They went on to play songs including 'In Competition' and 'Lucio Starts Fires', which survived from their first album recording, plus new efforts 'Kaleidoscope' and '4 U To Say'.

Lean bigged up guitarist Randy Michael, who has replaced former axeman Tommy D in the band. "He's given us a massive upgrade," the singer exclaimed of their new member.

Before heading offstage the frontman made reference to their new album, saying, "We've been locked away recording our album – we hope you think it's worth the wait." The record is expected to be released next year.

The band now head to Chelmsford and Stafford for the V Festival this weekend (August 22-23).

Joe Lean and the Jing Jang Jong played:

'Tough Terrible'
'Where Do You Go'
'One Woman'
'In Competition'
'Lucio Starts Fires'
'4 U 2 Say'
'Lonely Buoy'
