Former Velvet Underground man plays Glastonbury

The legendary John Cale played a bluesy set at Glastonbury this evening (June 27).

Playing up on The Park Stage, former Velvet Underground man performed a series of his solo songs backed by his band.

Greeting the crowd by saying "hello campers", Cale swapped between guitars and keyboards for the set that included the likes of 'Dirty Ass Rock 'N' Roll' and 'Sold Motel'.

The Welshman also debuted a new, epic song 'Dancing Fool', a reflective song that, live, was well over six minutes.

Cale and his band then wrapped up the set with a series of extended jams much to the delight of the hardcore crowd.
