MUSIC FOR THE KILTED GENERATION
John Digweed and Timo Maas head the list of disc spinners...
JOHN DIGWEED, TIMO MAAS and SANDER KLEINENBERG are among the dance
acts announced to play at GLASGOW GIG ON THE GREEN over the August Bank Holiday weekend
(25th & 26th).
In a very international line-up, other acts on the
Smirnoff-sponsored dance arena include
Gatecrasher regular Paul Van Dyk, who has worked as remixer for the
likes of Sven Vath, and New Order. Joining him is Tall
Paul, whose remix work includes Blondie and The Stone Roses.
Digweed who scored a recent top UK 40 hit with 'Heaven Scent', fits the date around his residency at New York's Twilo and his monthly stint at London's Heaven. And Maas will take time off from recording
his debut album for Paul Oakenfold's Perfecto label, having previously worked mainly as a remixer for everyone from Madonna to Fatboy Slim.
The remainder of the line-up includes DJ's from the world over, including Lucien Foort (Holland), DJ Tiesto (Holland), Corvin Dalek (Hungary), ATB (Germany), Anthony Pappa (Australia) and the UK's Darren Christian.
