Sean Lennon gets help from famous pals on new LP

Sean Lennon will be backed by a host of famous guests on his second album, which is out later this year.

John Lennon’s son will release ‘Friendly Fire’ on October 2. It’s the belated follow-up to his 1998 debut ‘Into The Sun’.

Guests stars on the LP include the singer's mother Yoko Ono, Ryan Adams, Money Mark, Deltron 3030, Handsome Boy Modeling School, Vincent Gallo, Thurston Moore, John Zorn, The Boredoms and Ben Lee .

Lennon said of his long absence, “There was a long period after the first album where I felt disillusioned with the machinery of the industry. It’s not that I stopped recording, playing and performing, I did all of those things, just more discreetly. ‘Friendly Fire’ is an experiment to see what it might be like to do music more publicly again.”

Lennon has also produced a short film for each of the album’s ten tracks, directed by Michele Civetta.

The trailer for the film can be seen atCapitolrecords.net/seanlennon.
