Yoko Ono halts Lennon film premiere

Lawyers contend she has not authorised viewing

The premiere screening of a documentary film about John Lennon entitled 'Three Days In The Life' has been cancelled after Yoko Ono threatened legal action.

The film was scheduled to screen tonight (March 6) at Maine's Berwick Academy, but the school's headmaster decided to cancel the screening after receiving warnings from Ono's lawyers, reports the Associated Press.

Ono contends that she has not authorised public viewing of the film.

The film's executive producers were unable to obtain an artist release from Ono, so they decided to offer free screenings at American high schools and colleges. Ono's lawyers have now forbidden that, too.

The film is said to include footage of Lennon composing songs and rehearsing for a BBC programme on which he performed 'Instant Karma' publicly for the first time.
