John Lennon's Hollywood Walk Of Fame star has been removed from the ground and possibly stolen, according to reports.
The outline of the star, which was laid at 1750 Vine Street in 1988, is currently being covered up by a plastic bag stuck down with tape, states Laist.com.
While some reports state that the star may have been stolen, another possibility is that it has been officially removed to prepare for the addition of Ringo Starr's Walk Of Fame star.
Lennon's former bandmate is one of 25 celebrities due to be honoured with a star on February 8.
Hollywood Chamber Of Commerce, who look after the Walk Of Fame, are yet to comment on the disappearance of Lennon's star.
