The wife of the murdered ex-Beatle is to receive an honorary degree from Liverpool University...
YOKO ONO is to receive an honorary degree from LIVERPOOL UNIVERSITY.
According to the local Liverpool Echo newspaper, the widow of John Lennon will receive the award at a ceremony at the town's Philharmonic Hall on July 2, and is in recognition of her patronage of the local John Lennon Memorial Scholarships, which provides academic assistance in the area.
Ono described the degree as an "honour". She added: "I am very excited".
