Dates will support his live DVD release

John Mayer announces summer tour

John Mayer has announced a summer tour of the US and Canada, which will support the release of a live DVD from the singer.

The as-yet untitled DVD will feature a live performance filmed at the Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles in December of last year.

The film includes an acoustic performance, a full-band set and a performance by the John Mayer Trio, featuring Steve Jordan and Pino Palladino.
