Radio 1 to host John Peel Day
BBC to celebrate the broadcaster's pioneering legacy
John Peel’s legacy will once again be celebrated by BBC Radio 1 when the radio station hosts the third annual Peel Day on October 11.
Radio 1 DJ Zane Lowe announced the day of John Peel inspired gigs and events today (September 13), encouraging listeners to get involved in whatever way they could, under the Peel Day banner.
Radio 1's celebration of John Peel's legacy takes place as part of the Electric Proms with Siouxsie Sioux, Agaskodo Teliverek and Radio Luxembourg on October 24.
