Country legend JOHNNY CASH is back in hospital suffering from bronchitis.

According to the Reuters news service, the singer was admitted to the Baptist Hospital in Nashville on Wednesday (October 31) with a recurrence of bronchitis.

The star was only released from the same hospital late last month (October 22) after being hospitalised for two weeks with the same ailment.

A hospital spokeswoman commented: "He's doing well and we expect him to be out shortly."

Cash has been previously diagnosed with autonomic neuropathy, which makes him susceptible to pneumonia.
