Johnny Flynn has announced the release of his third album.

'Country Mile', Flynn's follow-up to his 2010 LP 'Been Listening', will be available through Transgressive Records from September 30. Flynn and his longtime collaborator Adam Beach produced the album themselves, recording tracks in a number of different studios in London and New York over the last two years.

A lyric video for the album's lead track, 'The Lady Is Risen', has been uploaded to YouTube and you can give it a listen at the bottom of this article.

Johnny Flynn and his band The Sussex Wit will support the album with an 11-date UK and Ireland tour this October, kicking off in Edinburgh on October 5 before stopping off in Glasgow, Manchester, Birmingham, London, Oxford, Brighton, Bristol and Leeds, and then crossing the Irish Sea for shows in Dublin and Belfast.

Johnny Flynn will play:

Edinburgh Pleasance Theatre (October 5)
Glasgow Oran Mor (6)
Manchester Club Academy (7)
Birmingham Institute Library (8)
London Hackney Empire (10)
Oxford Academy (11)
Brighton St Georges Church (12)
