KING DENIES SEX CHARGES

Pop impresario JONATHAN KING denied charges of committing 14 sex offences against male youths and young men when he appeared at the OLD BAILEY in LONDON this morning (April 9).

King denied each of the charges, one of which is said to have involved a boy of 13, at the brief pre-trial hearing. He appeared under his real name, Kenneth George King. He faces charges of eight serious sexual offences, four indecent assaults and two attempted sexual offences.

The incidents are alleged to have taken place between 1969 and 1987.

The trial is expected to begin in September.
